This week we are going to review the movie, For Colored Girls. Believe it or not but this is the first movie that Tyler Perry did that he didn’t write. Now don’t get me wrong, he wrote the screenplay but it was adapted from the stage play, For Colored Girls Who Considered Suicide When The Rainbow Wasn’t Enuf by Ntozake Shange.
The play is the story of 7 women who are trying to deal with life, but the play was a group of poems that each character recited with full emotion. So how do you make that kind of play into a movie?
