Radio veteran Skip Murphy will join the Foxy family this week. Murphy, who began his career in Charlotte at WPEG, will host the Skip Murphy in the Afternoon show. It will air in place of Michael Baisden starting Monday, April 1. He will air each weekday from 3-7 p.m. on Foxy 107/104.
Murphy joins Foxy after CUMULUS MEDIA NETWORKS and REACH MEDIA reached an agreement to air the syndicated afternoon-drive show. MURPHY will team with JASMINE SANDERS and play hits from today, the ’80s and ’90s.
After spending time as the morning show host in his hometown of Charlotte, Murphy re-located to DALLAS and worked at KKDA and KRNB. JASMINE SANDERS’ career includes national television as co-host of BET CENTRIC’s “Culturalist,” as well as radio stints in NEW YORK on WWFS and WBLS.
The format clock for the MURPHY SHOW as well as the satellite channel automation will be identical to THE MICHAEL BASIDEN SHOW. CUMULUS and REACH are hoping to have the former BAISDEN affiliates transition to the new SKIP MURPHY SHOW.
